The film features Joyena Sun in the role of Wei, an ambitious medical student who relocates from China to New Zealand to stay with her aunt, portrayed by Xiao Hu, and her pretentious cousin Angela (Jess Hong). This pivotal moment transforms the film into a revenge-driven narrative filled with graphic scenes. The special effects are impressive, though there are indications that the creative team may have wished to push the boundaries further, likely constrained by budget limitations. The film draws inspiration from a wide array of cinematic influences, ranging from Eyes Without a Face to Face/Off. It is an exhilarating experience to watch Wei exact her vengeance on those who have wronged her, whether through ridicule or, in her professor's case, intellectual theft.
