Prarthana Mohan’s Picture This is a romantic comedy that follows Pia, a second-generation NRI, as she navigates challenges in both her personal and professional spheres. Her analog photography studio is struggling to generate profit, and her romantic endeavors have been fraught with disappointment. After a series of unsuccessful relationships, Pia comes to the realization that her one true love has always been her childhood sweetheart, Charlie. However, she has also embraced the notion of moving forward with her life and is at peace with the possibility of remaining single indefinitely.

Laxmi, Pia's mother, was unwilling to accept her daughter's choice and firmly believed that her primary objective should be to achieve marital happiness. Although Pia recognized that the jewelry her mother had reserved for her wedding could assist in covering her studio expenses, she was prohibited from using it until she agreed to marry. Her mother also urged their family priest to forecast Pia's future, claiming that, based on her astrological signs, the love of her life would be one of the next five men she would encounter. A remarkably precise prediction, indeed!
Following Panditji's prediction, Pia's sister Sonal proposed that their family assist Pia in finding her ideal partner. Initially, Pia was entirely against the notion; however, she ultimately chose to explore the possibility. At her sister's wedding, she encountered Charlie and felt dismayed to discover that he was already in a relationship. This realization was a significant factor in her decision to participate in the blind dates organized by her family.
The man selected by her father was the son of a billionaire, which certainly benefited Pia given her financial situation; however, he was rather arrogant. Sid presented Pia with a proposition: he would finance her education, but in exchange, she would have to marry him. Pia was not interested in his emotional support or physical affection; she merely required a companion for social gatherings. She rejected his offer and proceeded to her next blind date, arranged by her mother. This time, it was Akshay, a colleague in his thirties, who proved to be quite the gentleman and was keen to learn more about Pia.
She leaned in to kiss him, only to be taken aback when he uttered her mother’s name. It became evident that Akshay harbored feelings for Laxmi and likely accepted the date out of an inability to refuse her. Pia was left in shock. Sonal decided to introduce her friend, actor and yoga instructor Milo Boner, to Pia. Although Pia was initially reluctant to date someone deeply invested in spirituality, her own belief in it had previously empowered her to walk across a bed of hot coals, leading her to believe she had finally discovered someone remarkable. However, her hopes were dashed when she learned that Milo was a proponent of the flat Earth theory, which shattered her enthusiasm.
