The Damned – Soap2day Movie Review

Iceland is widely recognized for its breathtaking landscapes and striking contrasts. It is notably cold, although the severity may vary compared to my visit there with my wife twelve years ago, likely influenced by climate change. Naturally, individuals tend to adapt to the climate of their upbringing. Therefore, it is essential to acknowledge the talent of writer-director Thordur Palsson, who was born and raised in Iceland, for his ability to portray his homeland as both peculiar and ominous. This atmosphere is crucial for the newcomers featured in his film "The Damned 2025 Soap2day," a subtle horror story set in the 19th century.
